Warning LOST Jean Jacket is a 9×19″ letterpress print. Peter Bergman made Warning LOST Jean Jacket after someone stole his greasy and threadbare Robucks brand “Signi of the Institute of Sociometry” battle jacked he’d had for over 20 years off the back of a patio chair in Denver Colorado. It is a simultaneous bounty poster, act of mourning, and warning. The handset letterpress Olde English reads (in part), “Any traveler or naive whi didst stealeth this jacket Be Warned! Tis cloak’d in a black metal curse to lie rig to all save its true bearer.” Though the jean jacket was never found – despite the $100 bounty – enough posters were sold to purchase a brand new one from the Levi’s store at the mall…
