mom is a 20 page, 8.5 x 5.5″ vertically formatted saddle-stitched zine with die cut front and back covers, two paper stocks and an octo-fold center insert! From the e-zine: “Men Observing Modesty (mom) is a secular, progressive-fundamentalist order advocating for modesty in all men. Members of the order come together with a shared vision and purpose – to protect men and liberate all women, especially mothers, from impure female sexual thoughts and actions. Women and men work cooperatively at mom, each per their natural role, to restore social cohesion through education, advocacy, and direct action and intervention in our communities.”

mom chapters perform mission work by handing out free black, hooded, long-sleeved t-shirts with the mom logo to shirtless me on hot summer days. Engagement is conducted by our team of “escorts” – women in wholsome khaki shorts and pink polos embroidered with the mom logo. Male supplicants are in attendance but are not allowed to talk to stranges…

mom is laser printed on 80# Neenah Ultra Bright White and 24# Astrobright Fireball Fuchsia and hand sewn with hot pink thread. The covers are diecut front and back on 120# duplexed Classic Crest Columns with Epic Black covers and Solar White interior covers.
